Welcome to The Agenda (yeah - THAT agenda), your weekly update on what's happening in the LGBTQ political world. Whatever you do, don’t forward it to Mike Pence. He doesn't need to know what we're planning! Forward it to a friend instead.

Overview: LGBTQ Wisconsin candidates cope with “most dangerous election ever.”
WHAT HAPPENED, WISCONSIN?
This week, Wisconsin held an in-person election that Politico called “the most dangerous election ever.” Voters faced long lines, voting locations abruptly changed and of course, COVID-19 fears.
Victory Fund had four endorsed candidates on the ballot in Wisconsin - you can learn more about their races here.
Despite the chaos, however, many brave souls made their way to the polls to vote. Our candidate for the Milwaukee Common Council, Peter Burgelis, noted it was possible to vote by car!
And while we won’t have full results from Wisconsin until next week, we’re pleased to report that Max Prestigiacomo won his election for the Madison Common Council!
CHAIN REACTION
Unfortunately, the battle won't end in Wisconsin. The next state to face a legal battle over mail-in-ballots? Texas.
A reminder that pro-equality forces are highly focused on flipping the Texas House in 2020. And our LGBTQ candidates are running in districts that must be flipped to succeed.
Should the laws not change, millions of Texans could be disenfranchised and it is likely to hurt our candidates.
Outside of the impending legal battles taking place in each state, COVID-19 is impacting everything from political advertising to the 2024 presidential elections.

MUST WATCH MOMENTS
Just yesterday, our Senior Political Director Sean Meloy spoke with Spotlight candidate Kristen Browde, who’s on track to be New York’s first openly trans elected official. Learn about Kristen’s work as an attorney and community advocate here.
Sean also caught up with Gina Ortiz Jones to discuss her historic race for Texas’s 23rd Congressional District. Watch their conversation here!
Want to learn even more about Gina’s race? LGBTQ Nation has you covered.

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power – so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
