Listen, nothing like this has happened so far in our battleground race: My opponent, Rick Scott, just dropped MILLIONS on attack ads after the Florida Supreme Court green-lit a six-week abortion ban.
We know Rick Scott — who spent $64 million of his own fortune to buy this seat last time around — can fund attack ads at the drop of a hat.
But his rushing to go up on the air after Florida's abortion ban isn't a sign of strength. In fact, it's the opposite.
Rick Scott is scared. He is weak. And he will once again do anything and spend everything to keep Florida red.
But, friend, ours is the grassroots movement that will defeat him: Polling shows our team in the lead, and experts at The New York Times just named Florida as one of the most likely Senate seats to flip blue.
So when Rick Scott goes on the air with ads lying about his record on abortion and lying about me in a desperate effort to save his campaign — just as the momentum is on OUR side — what must we do? Fight back. Because to Rick Scott we say: Ya no más. Enough is enough
That's why I'm asking, friend, if you have anything extra to spare today, will you chip in to help us win in Florida and defend Democrats' Senate majority?

Rick Scott knows that he can't win this race by telling the truth about his record. He built his fortune as the CEO of a hospital chain that pled guilty to what the Justice Department called the largest Medicare fraud scheme ever. He made off with millions and faced zero consequences. Now, he's pushing a far-right agenda that would ban abortions nationwide, raise taxes on working families, and end vital programs like Social Security and Medicare.
My story is different. As a teen immigrant from Ecuador, I fought hard to create my own American Dream. In high school, I worked early morning shifts to help my family afford rent for our one room apartment.
I studied hard to earn a scholarship that made college possible for me and dedicated my career to public service. Eventually, I ran for Congress, flipped a battleground district blue, and became the first South American immigrant elected to the House. In Congress, I fought tirelessly to expand Medicare access, lower the cost of living, end gun violence, and protect families like yours.
I've spent my life fighting to protect the opportunities that made my story possible and giving back to the communities that gave me so much. Rick Scott has spent his career getting rich and leaving working families behind. That's why I'm running for Senate to defeat him — because Floridians will suffer if he wins six more years.
But every day that we allow these ads to go unanswered, his lies and disinformation are reaching more and more voters, undermining our message, and jeopardizing our campaign. We've got to fight back, and I can't do that without your help: So I'm personally asking — if you've made it this far, will you please chip in $5 to help us tell the truth about Rick Scott's record and flip Florida blue? With your help, this race is truly ours to win.
