Dear Reader,
Throughout this week, Ballotpedia has been showcasing our outreach tools, including our 10 e-newsletters and our podcast, On the Ballot. Today marks the final day of our Ballotpedia Society drive, and I want to highlight how Ballotpedia is engaging voters through social media to ensure robust information reaches as many voters as possible.
We connect with people who get political news from different means, like podcasts or on social media, with the same great content we provide on Ballotpedia.org.
Social media remains an important medium that many Americans use to find news and share information. We use our social media presence to:
-
Explain and simplify some of Ballotpedia's more complex policy areas into digestible and accessible information.
-
Reach voters who are unfamiliar with the breadth of Ballotpedia's on-site content.
Last month, we introduced a Content Creator Toolkit equipped with ready-made videos, visuals, and other materials for content creators and influencers to use on their preferred social media platforms, amplifying Ballotpedia's mission of providing accurate, reliable, and nonpartisan information. This means Ballotpedia’s robust content will be in front of more voters and ensures that content creators have reliable and accurate information to provide their followers.
Ballotpedia’s mission is to close the ballot information gap by providing robust, accurate, and reliable information to all voters. We do this by meeting voters where they are, whether that be surfing the web, skimming social media, or listening to a podcast. Tearing down barriers by connecting with users through various mediums allows Ballotpedia to increase its reach and influence while empowering voters to make informed decisions at the ballot box.
Today is the last day of this Ballotpedia Society drive. The Ballotpedia Society is a group of donors committed to monthly donations—to ensure that our efforts to provide accurate, reliable, and nonpartisan information continue to expand. Your support is crucial to empowering voters with the information they need when heading to the ballot box. Please consider making a monthly recurring donation and joining the Ballotpedia Society today!
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Alison Graves
