Our power >>> the NRA.

John —

Just a week before the two-year mark of the Uvalde shooting, the city of Dallas and the state of Texas are going to spend $1 million in taxpayer money to host the NRA’s annual meeting this weekend.

Even more ridiculously, Governor Greg Abbott and Trump are set to speak at events for NRA members as part of the convention.

We’re fighting to bring down the NRA but our youth-led movement is up against the NRA’s war chest and political allies.

Can you donate $5 today to help support us in this fight?

So….where do we begin with what’s wrong with this convention??

First of all, $1 million…we’re still stuck on that. Dallas and the state of Texas are using a million dollars of taxpayer money to host the declining NRA. Really?

Choosing to spend this much to support gun lobbyists when they could put that money toward proven gun safety legislation that can prevent school shootings and effectively address gun violence is disturbing — to say the least. It shows just how far the majority of Texas leadership’s priorities are from addressing gun violence and saving young lives.

And, this is Trump’s ninth time speaking at a NRA event. We don’t know how much clearer he can make it that who he’s really representing is the NRA not constituents.

We don’t need a President or a Governor who are in the pocket of the NRA + this shouldn’t be acceptable.

The good news is, we’re breaking the NRA’s hold. We filed a legal complaint against the NRA a few years ago, and this year their CEO Wayne LaPierre RESIGNED. Since we started exposing their corruption, over ONE MILLION NRA members have said enough is enough and left.

We’re still turning up the heat on the NRA’s corruption, President Trump, and Governor Abbott.

We’re putting our energy into organizing and making sure this election year we elect gun safety champions — not corrupt politicians who care more about keeping the NRA happy than saving lives.

Our organizing work is the backbone of our movement. Help us out by rushing a contribution of $5 now before the NRA’s convention ends.
