America has a president that is breaking decades, if not centuries, of foreign policy precedent. Joe Biden’s stubbornness is solely motivated to save his political legacy, with his eyes set on November.
His own State Department released a report which exposes the administration as misguided and confused in ways that could haunt future US Presidents. Not surprisingly, the report reflects an obvious anti-Israel sentiment.
Biden is halting America’s support for our strongest ally, our only ally in the Middle East, to appease the most radical extremists in his party. Our friends and foes around the world are watching. Will America be faithful to any of our allies moving forward even when Biden’s political legacy is on the line?
Driving the Week: I wrote an Op-Ed for the Daily Telegraph about the line Biden is dancing on America’s relationship with Israel. Biden’s stubbornness towards our ally is objectively selfish. He knows his political future is at risk, in the hands of defections to minor-party candidates who could and will sink his re-election chances.
Critical Context: Biden is motivated to act hardened toward Israel to save his political legacy, namely his re-election in November. This is no profile in courage. While politics dominates Biden’s calculations, his gambit may backfire.
My Final Word: Biden’s stubbornness towards Israel is categorically wrong.
This week I also explained why the Biden Administration is objectively Pro-Hamas. Biden and his State Department are holding Israel to military standards that even our own military is not beholden to. It's allowing Israel some self-defense, but not enough to eliminate their enemy Hamas, an existential threat.
Critical Context: Israelis are facing an existential threat and is doing everything they can to eliminate this threat. Civilians in Israel and Gaza will never have security as long as Hamas lives.
My Final Word: Our enemies around the world are seeing America's abandonment of our strongest ally and making plans to take advantage of America's weakness under the Biden Administration.

Critical Context: Biden’s break between the U.S. and Israel is unprecedented, to put this sort of pressure on an American ally like that in the middle of what they see as an existential threat is unlike anything we’ve ever seen in American history.
My Final Word: Biden is letting the left wing of the Democratic Party hold American support for our ally hostage.
