We hope you have had a great week! Throughout the week, we joined in commemorating Police Week to honor law enforcement who serve to keep our communities safe each and every day. On Wednesday, we also commemorated National Peace Officers Memorial Day to honor the fallen for their selfless service and courage, and recognize them and their loved ones for their sacrifice.

UPCOMING: Congressman Kim’s 75th Town Hall

On May 23rd at 7 PM, Congressman Kim will host his next town hall as a telephone town hall to hear directly from neighbors, share updates from his recent work in Congress, commemorate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, and recognize Mental Health Awareness Month.

This will be Congressman Kim’s 75th town hall since being sworn-in to Congress in 2018, upholding his promise to host at least one town hall every month! Register to get his call or tune-in to the event live at kim.house.gov/live.

Congressman Kim Celebrates Local Community Project Progress and Funding

Last week, Congressman Kim was thrilled to spend his Friday celebrating exciting progress on two community projects that he secured federal funding for in Congress. In the morning, the Congressman joined the Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority (WMUA) for a ribbon cutting at their PFAS treatment facility. Everyone should be able to rely on safe water. That's why Congressman Kim secured WMUA over $3.4 million to help make sure water in Willingboro is free of dangerous PFAS chemicals. We were proud to celebrate the completion of this essential project to deliver healthy water to our community!

Congressman Kim also recently secured over $1.5 million for ADA renovations and other key upgrades at Hamilton Public Library. Later in the day Friday, he joined Mayor Jeff Martin and library leadership and staff for a tour of the library to see how the funding will complete some of the first upgrades to the library since the 1970s! These include upgrades to library restrooms to be ADA compliant, as well as replacing old and damaged windows, flooring, and furniture at the library, which is used by more than 90,000 residents.

Drum Roll Please for our 2024 Congressional Art Competition Winner…

Charvi, a 10th grader at Robbinsville High School, is our district’s Congressional Art Competition winner! The winning drawing “Red, White, and Woof” aims to capture the loyalty of dogs, while mirroring the connection Charvi feels with their country and the opportunities it has provided them.

We were again profoundly impressed by the talent and creativity in each submission to the competition and were proud to bring all the submissions together for a showcase earlier this month to celebrate each student’s hard work. We look forward to passing Charvi’s drawing as it represents our district soon on the walls of the U.S. Capitol!

Standing with our LGBTQ+ Community

Across every community and country, the LGBTQ+ community deserves to live freely and safely. On International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia today, we stand firm against bigotry and hate trying to deny this human right and with LGBTQ+ lives across the world.

Celebrating Progress during Infrastructure Week

This week was “Infrastructure Week” and there was a lot to celebrate! In addition to helping the Gateway Project’s Portal North Bridge reach 50% completion on-time and on-budget this week, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law continues to deliver huge and critical investments for New Jersey.

And as we celebrate once-in-a-generation investments unlocked by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and it invests in rebuilding and strengthening our communities, Congressman Kim’s BUILD Act would prioritize veteran-owned businesses for project opportunities!

We are over the moon to hear that we AGAIN have finalists from our district heading to the American Rocketry Challenge national finals. Join us in wishing two teams from the Medford Lakes Neeta School the best of luck competing tomorrow! Wishing them the best and congratulate them on getting this far.
