Legislative Update

Your unwavering commitment has left an undeniable mark on our community. Your passion, hard work, and selflessness have undoubtedly enriched the lives of many over your years of service. We’ve already had a long week on the House floor and it will continue through the weekend with more than 20 bills and conference committee reports still to be debated. The majority has already abused their power and shut down debate on bills as we saw on Wednesday night. Minnesotans expect us to stand up for their concerns and thoroughly vet any legislation before it goes into law, but in this instance, the speaker has shut down that debate in order to push forward their radical agenda.

Following the Legislative session I will be hosting several town halls to share everything that has happened at the capitol and answer questions. Here are the times and locations, I hope you can join me:

While I will be on the House floor all weekend, I hope you will have the opportunity to enjoy your weekend. One option this weekend is a free showing of The Music Man at The Falls Theatre to fundraise for their summer production. A social hour will follow the showing of the movie to fundraise for the production later this summer.
