John, I'm reaching out with great news –
My first bill, the Student Veteran Restoration Act, was passed in the House with bipartisan support!
John, let's not forget that before my bill was introduced, if a student veteran was defrauded by a for-profit school, there was no way for that educational benefit to be restored.
This meant that veterans across Illinois – like Christopher from Des Plaines, Andy from Hoffman Estates, Brian from Lisle, and Bryan who attended ITT Tech in Chicago – are having to go without being able to finish their degrees.
I knew something had to be done here, John, so I went right to work.
Now, we're one step closer to ensuring all of our veterans receive the full scope of the benefits they earned and deserve!
Thank you so much,
Congresswoman Delia Ramirez
