John,
There are just a few days left to help Get Out The Vote for pro-ceasefire candidate Susheela Jayapal in her Democratic primary.
Susheela is running for an open congressional seat in Oregon, where anti-Palestinian group AIPAC and its network have spent millions to support her main opponent. More right-wing donors with ties to AIPAC have donated hundreds of thousands to her opponent in the past few days.
I’m proud to endorse Susheela Jayapal for Congress because she is a strong advocate for marginalized people, taking on Big Polluters and fighting for transformative changes like Medicare for All and the human right to housing. She’s also the only leading candidate in her race who supports conditioning U.S. military aid to Israel based on human rights. Instead of spending billions on genocide and apartheid, she will put the needs of her constituents first.
Will you help counter right-wing AIPAC money that is flooding into Susheela’s primary by donating to her campaign today? Her primary is next Tuesday and your donation will power her Get Out the Vote operation in the final days of her campaign.
Together, let’s keep growing our progressive movement for freedom and dignity for all.
Thank you for being by my side,
Rashida

John,
Another ceasefire candidate needs our support.
Susheela Jayapal―the sister of Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, who chairs the Congressional Progressive Caucus―is running for an open congressional seat in Oregon. Up against millions of dollars in spending from anti-Palestinian group AIPAC and its affiliated PACs and Republican donors, Susheela has called for a ceasefire since last fall and she supports conditioning U.S. military funding to Israel based on human rights standards.
In addition to running attack ads against Susheela, AIPAC-aligned donors helped raise her Democratic primary opponent nearly $220,000 just last week in the homestretch of their primary election. As Ryan Grim from The Intercept reports: “The last-minute deluge from Republican and AIPAC donors … has upended the open primary race.”
As most of my colleagues in Congress continue to send billions to help the apartheid Israeli government commit genocide against the Palestinian people, I need more allies like Susheela by my side in Congress demanding a ceasefire and pushing to invest in our communities’ fundamental rights to housing, healthcare, and more. We don’t need more Democrats who try to maintain the unjust status quo—especially not when they’re backed by right-wing donors trying to interfere in Democratic primaries.
This is the last weekend to Get Out The Vote before Oregon’s primary election next Tuesday. Please rush a donation to Susheela Jayapal’s campaign today, and help send a progressive ceasefire candidate to Congress to fight by my side.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately, split evenly between Rashida Tlaib and Susheela Jayapal
Together, we’re growing our movement to invest in life rather than genocide, and sending champions to Congress who represent the vast majority of Americans in demanding an immediate ceasefire.
In solidarity,
Rashida
