It was great to welcome the Enid Chamber and Vance Development Authority to Washington this week. I was glad to see familiar faces like Mayor David Mason and Chamber CEO Jon Blankenship. We discussed economic development opportunities in Enid, infrastructure improvements, and direct wins for Vance Air Force Base in the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act. Thank you all for your time.

Thank you to Dr. Christian Roberts, Executive Vice President and Cancer Center Director of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, for taking the time to offer an update on their affiliate clinic in Tulsa and current policy priorities. There is no doubt St. Jude is doing incredible work for children and families across the country.

Great news! The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization bill includes significant wins for Oklahoma. These wins include a plan to expand the Air Traffic Control academy in OKC and a $300K funding increase for both Lawton-Ft. Sill Regional Airport (LAW) and Stillwater Regional Airport (SWO).

The bill also includes my amendment to allow Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma the ability to apply for a waiver to permit financial transactions for commercial testing to continue their successes in UAS integration into our national aerospace. I'm thrilled it has passed the House and Senate, and it now heads to the president's desk.

I recently spoke with KC Sheperd, Farm Director for the Radio Oklahoma Network about rural priorities and Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Senator Jack Reed's recent tour of our state's robust military installations. Check out the article here.

This week is National Police Week. I joined 73 of my GOP colleagues in introducing a formal resolution to honor National Police Week and recognize the sacrifice and dedication of our men and women in blue. This week and every week, I am proud to stand with our nation’s law enforcement and pay tribute to our fallen heroes. Check out my Weekly Wrap Up on the topic here.
