Notice of Post-Award Public Forum PATIENT PROTECTION AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT SECTION 1332 STATE INNOVATION WAIVER The Maine Bureau of Insurance (?MBOI?) and the Maine Guaranteed Access Reinsurance Association (?MGARA?) will conduct a joint public forum in a hybrid format and accept public comments on the progress of Maine?s Section 1332 State Innovation Waiver. Background Summary The State of Maine applied for and received a State Innovation Waiver under Section 1332 of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (?ACA?) to facilitate the operation of the MGARA reinsurance program as authorized under 24-A M.R.S. Chapter 54-A (?Section 1332 Waiver?). Pursuant to the Standard Terms and Conditions (?STCs?) applicable to the 1332 Waiver and 31 CFR ?33.120(c) and 45 CFR ?155.1320(c), the MBOI and MGARA are required to host an annual Post-Award Forum to accept public comment on the progress of the Section 1332 Waiver.
