I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I’m just going to rip the bandaid off:

We didn’t reach our mid-month fundraising goal.

Now, this isn’t the end of the world. The entire reason we set a mid-month goal was to ensure we were on target for the MUCH more important goal that will come at the end of the month. This is our chance to check in and make sure we’re pacing correctly. 

We know we can get back on track, but we need to make up for some lost ground. I’m hoping we can get 9 supporters from DC to step up and make a donation right away. Can I count on you to be one of them?

Like I said, there’s no need to panic just yet. I’m only personally reaching out to you because I know we can always count on our grassroots team to rally when we need it most.

There’s so much at stake this year, and democracy is depending on us. We’re already full steam ahead, mobilizing and organizing coast-to-coast — and we REALLY don’t want to have to scale back our operation anywhere.
