Shortly after the Austin City Council took action to protect trans folks from the GOP’s discriminatory attacks and laws they have passed statewide, Texas AG Ken Paxton started throwing around threats. 

He vowed to “consider every possible response to ensure compliance” with state law prohibiting gender-affirming care for minors.

Remember that attacks on gender-affirming care for minors can have deadly consequences. AG Ken Paxton is putting lives at risk with his bigoted rhetoric and actions. 

Democratic AGs are determined to protect, uphold, and advance the rights of every American — no matter how you identify. Every person deserves to live their life as their true and authentic self, which is why ensuring that we have state attorneys general willing to defend the rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals is so important.
