Friends –
I’m proud that Colorado continues to be a safe haven for women in the western states to receive the medical care they need. We will continue to serve as a leader in women’s reproductive freedom and reject the restrictions that the far right has implemented in other states.
But here’s the truth, friend, your state should not dictate our rights as women. The government should not be able to control our bodies. Women should be empowered to make our own choices on our health care and reproductive rights.
With access to abortion being under control of the states, women could have to travel hundreds of miles if they need abortion care, pay thousands of dollars to get there, and be left navigating logistics for weeks before being able to get an appointment.
Women should not have to jump through hoops for healthcare.
I will always advocate for women’s reproductive freedom.
