Dear Friend,
Every home should have access to high-speed internet. That’s why I’ve been so proud to support President Biden’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which has helped over 23 million households across the country save about $30-75 every month on their internet bills.
But unfortunately, at the end of April, conservatives let this funding expire.
Over two-thirds of households who used the ACP had either unreliable or non-existent internet access before enrolling – so failing to reinstate the ACP is devastating for so many families. High-speed internet is essential for kids to do their homework, adults to find jobs, families to access health care, stay connected to loved ones, and so much more.
That’s why I was proud to vote for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill – which funded ACP and helped over 250,000 families in San Diego save on their internet bills – and why I’m proud now to support the bicameral and bipartisan Affordable Connectivity Program Extension Act to extend this funding.
Everyone in San Diego and all across the country deserves high-speed internet access, so I’ll keep fighting to reinstate these important investments in our community.
