Transformative Improvements Coming to Middlesex College
Middlesex County announced plans this week to build three new buildings on the Middlesex College campus, including a new magnet school, a new college student center, and a new multipurpose community venue. This innovative new plan will help meet the challenges students in the classroom face today and bolster Middlesex County’s reputation as an institute for learning and destination for cultural and sporting events.
Higher education is an investment in our country’s future and economic strength. I’m glad to see federal funding from the American Rescue Plan is a critical part of Middlesex College’s transformation into an educational beacon for tomorrow’s workforce.
Groundbreaking For Veterans Memorial Youth League Complex
I attended the official groundbreaking of the Perth Amboy Veterans Youth League Complex this week. I secured $1.5 million for the project in a federal spending bill in 2022. The funding will help complete important park upgrades, including drainage improvements and the construction of multipurpose fields to cater to youth and adult sports leagues in the city. Thanks to state and federal investments, Perth Amboy will have a fantastic sports complex with state-of-the-art fields that will greatly expand and improve recreation for students and residents.
