As we commemorate International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia, it's a powerful reminder of the work yet to be done to ensure every LGBTQ+ young person feels supported and valued. At The Trevor Project, we're dedicated to creating safer spaces for youth of all identities, but we can't do it alone. We need you to Be the One — to speak out, and show your unwavering support for LGBTQ+ young people.
This year, we're proud to share the findings of our 2024 U.S. National Survey, shedding light on the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ young people today. Our survey revealed that 60% of LGBTQ+ youth reported feeling discriminated against in the past year due to their sexual orientation or gender identity. These statistics are a stark reminder of the urgent need for action and advocacy in our communities.
