It’s 2024 and we’re still fighting to close the gender pay gap in America.
Women still earn only 82 cents for every dollar earned by a man. And the gap widens for Black and Latina women who earn 62 cents and 54 cents, respectively.
In a nation that champions equality, it’s unconscionable that women, especially women of color, continue to earn significantly less than their male counterparts for the same work. We cannot stand idly by while half of our workforce is undervalued. This isn’t just a women's issue; it's an economic imperative for all of us.
Fact: Closing this gap would provide much-needed economic security to millions of families and boost our economy.
