Dear John,
A shocking 992 antisemitic acts took place on college and university campuses last year, according to ADL’s 2023 Audit of Antisemitic Incidents — a 321% increase from 2022.
More than half (500) occurred between Hamas’ Oct. 7 terrorist attacks and the end of the calendar year. Jewish students have been harassed, threatened, spat on and physically assaulted. They have seen their classmates glorify Hamas’ terrorism. And they have heard large numbers of students chanting slogans that call for the destruction of Israel.
73% reported experiencing or witnessing some form of antisemitism since the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year. As a result, many Jewish college students don’t feel safe on campus.
John, this moment is critical. You have a chance to make 2X the impact when it comes to keeping Jewish students and Jewish communities safe.
Make your first gift now and it will be matched dollar for dollar. That’s because generous friends of ADL are matching all gifts up to $300,000 — but only through midnight, May 31.
So, please help us unlock every dollar of this incredible match opportunity.
Your gift will go 2X as far to:
- Provide school leaders with tools to ensure their colleges and universities have no tolerance for antisemitism on campus.
- Combat antisemitism by giving students, parents, alumni and others the resources they need to call for change.
- Monitor, track and report antisemitic and extremist activity to law enforcement to keep our students and our communities safe.
John, we can’t do any of this alone.
Please make your gift before the May 31 deadline.
Your first donation will DOUBLE in value, providing twice the support for Jewish students and Jewish communities throughout the country.
With your contribution, together, we can create a world in which no one suffers from antisemitic attacks. And all are equally free from extremism, discrimination and hate of all kinds.
Sincerely, |
