Tonight on Capitol Hill, the House passed the Israel Security Assistance Support Act, a bill written after President Biden paused an arms shipment to Israel.
The legislation requires the administration to lift its delay and ensure Israel has the American-made resources it needs to defend itself. AIPAC was supportive of this bill and appreciates the leadership of Rep. Ken Calvert for bringing it to the floor.
While it passed the House, the future of the bill is uncertain as the White House has promised to veto it.

Defense Minister Gallant: Rafah operation will continue with additional IDF forces
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told IDF soldiers today that the operation to root out Hamas in Rafah will continue with additional troops.

Israel has helped evacuate 600,000 civilians from Rafah so far, as it prepares to confront Hamas in the city. The IDF has reportedly staged enough troops in the area to proceed with the operation, though it’s unlikely to start until after U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan leaves Israel after meetings this weekend.
