Former City Manager Broadnax’s Legacy of Failure Rewarded by Council

Dallas relies heavily on its City Manager to run the city effectively. Unfortunately, the legacy of former city manager T.C. Broadnax has brought ruin and generational decline to Dallas:

He was never held accountable for his many failures. In fact, he has been rewarded by a more than generous severance package from the City. Mayor Eric Johnson has criticized the City Council for allowing this to happen, but the core responsibility of Dallas’s dramatic decline lies in the hands of council-enabled Broadnax.

This payout to Broadnax at the taxpayer’s expense is just one example of their seeming contempt for the people of Dallas. Residents deserve safe streets; they are a civil right. Yet, city leaders have rewarded an individual for making the city more dangerous. 

If you agree with Mayor Johnson, please make an effort to attend the next City Council meeting. You can tell the city leaders of their failure to serve Dallas effectively. 

We are losing Dallas to Leftist city officials that refuse to govern properly and continue to reward inadequacy. Blacks and Hispanics Suffer at The Hand of Downtown Crime

Blacks and Hispanics are being disproportionately affected by the state of high crime in Dallas. Dallas City Council needs to do everything it can to protect its residents. This includes increasing the amount DPD officers from 3,000 to 4,000 to keep up with the current population of Dallas.

Executive Director Joseph Porter broadcasts on Facebook Live each week, documenting vagrant camps in the city and bringing you real-time updates on the state of homelessness and the apathetic response from Dallas city officials. This week, Joseph went live from Cottonwood Creek in City Council District 10. There, he was asked for money and told to leave by multiple vagrants.

"Free Parking Camp"

This camp in Jesse Moreno’s District 2 has been dubbed “Free Parking Camp.” How would you feel about parking your car here? Public encampments like this make the City more dangerous and do nothing to improve the area's morale. This should be wholly unacceptable, yet our city officials encourage this behavior through horrible policy decisions.

District 6 Councilman Omar Narvaez

"Underpass Living Room Camp"

This camp in Omar Narvaez’s District 6 has earned the title “Underpass Living Room Camp.” The vagrant has settled in so much that he has been able to create his own living room at this underpass. He has all the amenities a homeless man could ask for. Is this safe? Does this enhance or hurt the area around it? There is a very clear answer. 

District 11 Councilwoman Jaynie Schultz

"Median's Rest Camp"

We named this camp in Jaynie Schultz’s District 11 “Median’s Rest Camp.” Located across the street from an Exxon just off Highway 75, drivers will be greeted by this sight. Brazen violations of the panhandling ban are only becoming more persistent. Dallas City Council must work to ensure that we are enforcing the laws on the books and preventing people from living in these dangerous conditions!

Mission Statement:

Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of urban camping.
