Hi there, it’s Josh Stein – Democratic nominee for governor of North Carolina. With fewer than 6 months until Election Day, it’s time to kick it into high gear and solidify a winning strategy, so I’m asking for your help today. The best strategies are informed by folks who are on-the-ground and can provide real-time input – which means I need to hear from you.

Team, I wasn’t kidding when I said this race was going to be neck and neck. My far-right opponent is a radical extremist with the backing of Donald Trump and national Republican groups determined to flip this governor’s office. Yet, he and I are still dead even in the polls. And history has shown that our victory or defeat could hinge on just a handful of votes.

But I never back down from a fight.

For the next six months, I will do whatever I can to win so that we can keep building a North Carolina that is rooted in freedom, justice, and opportunity for everyone and protect our state from being dragged backward by extremists.

The truth is Mark Robinson is dangerous for North Carolina. He is among the most radical statewide-elected extremists in the nation and supports harmful policies and peddles conspiracy theories. He’s denied climate change and the 2020 election results – and he’s even questioned the Holocaust. Mark Robinson wants to tell you who you can marry, what to do with your body, and who you should hate – which is why Donald Trump and national Republican groups are lining up to support his campaign.

I need your help so we’re ready to fight back. North Carolina and this country are at a crossroads: We can either cave to extremism or come together to protect our rights and democracy. I know what my choice is, but the DGA and I need to hear from you, team.
