Friend in solidarity,

My name is Jeff Vogt, I am the Director of the International Lawyers Assisting Workers (ILAW) Network – the largest global network of worker rights lawyers and advocates, and a project of the Solidarity Center.

We are launching two new reports next week and we’re hosting events to discuss both.

On Tues., May 21, at 9 a.m. EST ([link removed]) we’ll share a collaborative project with Equal Rights Trust (ERT), “A Promise Not Realised: The Right to Non-Discrimination in Work and Employment.” This publication focuses on two main questions: Why does discrimination in the workplace persist despite the widespread adoption of laws and regulations that prohibit it and how can countries create enabling environments to effectively prevent workplace discrimination and remedy it when it occurs?

On Wed., May 22, at 9 a.m. EST ([link removed]) we’re launching an issue brief researched and written by Dr. Barbora Černušáková titled, “Labor and Technology: Mapping Strategic Opportunities for Workers and Trade Unions,” which outlines some of the legal initiatives undertaken by workers and unions, and the opportunities to challenge tech-driven labor rights violations through organizing, legislation and litigation.

I hope you’ll join us for these important conversations.
