John, over the past few months, I’ve spoken with hundreds of voters here in TX-31 — small business owners, recognized leaders in our community, veterans, teachers, and everyday working people — about what their priorities are for Congress.

But today, I want to share my own priorities with you. As our runoff election gets closer and closer (just 11 days to go till Election Day!), it’s important that you know exactly what matters to me — values that motivate me in our campaign against my extremist Republican opponent, John Carter, and that reflect a lot of what you’ve all shared with me about your families and neighborhoods.

I've laid out my core priorities below, just in case you missed seeing me in person, or if you're new to our movement (and if so, welcome!!).

I will do everything in my power to protect our democracy and defend our civil liberties, and am ready to stand up to threats against Texans’ fundamental freedoms whenever necessary.

I am dedicated to championing abortion rights and health care access, and will defend against any right-wing attempt to limit reproductive healthcare, fertility treatments, or birth control. Women have the right to choose — period.

I will work to create an economy that expands all of our opportunities — whether that’s on main street or Wall Street (y’all know Main Street in Cedar Park, right?), in our factories and our Texas farms.

I will live up to our country’s commitment to our active-duty military and veterans and work to protect those who’ve served as they’ve protected all of us. Their healthcare should be a matter of national security — it is unconscionable that my opponent tried to block the VA from providing reproductive healthcare services, and more.

I will stand up for our nation’s seniors, and will work to protect social security and Medicare benefits from extremist Republican budget cuts.

Finally, I promise to fight for a more functional Congress, where we work for the people of this country, not special interests.
