President's Message May marks National Adolescent Health Month™ (NAHM™), a time to celebrate the strengths and potential of young people. NAHM™ underscores the significance of involving adolescents in health initiatives and sheds light on critical adolescent health topics. This year, the focus of NAHM™ is "Take Action for Adolescents– A Call to Action for Adolescent Health and Well-Being" ("Take Action for Adolescents"). This initiative envisions a future where all U.S. adolescents have the necessary support, safety, and resources to thrive and achieve their full potential. School nurses play a pivotal role in adolescent health. From promoting mental health awareness to fostering supportive environments and school wellness, school nurses can ensure adolescents have the tools and resources needed to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. NASN offers many resources school nurses can share with students, families, and communities to contribute to the well-being of adolescents during NAHM™ and beyond.
