What Do We Do Now?
As many families are staying home for long periods of time because of the Coronavirus, we're facing some unique challenges of keeping everyone entertained and productive--and, of course, keeping our children educated! Here are some suggestions!
- Be creative with your schooliing at home! Many groups are offering free resources. We've compiled an extensive list of fun activities and educational resources for children of all ages! (There are even some great options available for adults!)
- Watch an astronaut read from space! Let your children enjoy the unique experience of watching an astronaut from the International Space Station read children's books. (There are also science experiments the astronauts have put together for kids.)
- Check out WallBuilders' website! You can see some of the original writings we have in our collection, read America's founding documents (the Declaration of Independence & the Constitution), and so much more!
- Watch something together! Build an indoor fort (with sheets, blankets, or any other fun items) and watch a few shows or a movie with your children -- don't forget the snacks!
- Break out those board games! Have the kids learn a new game or teach them some classics like chess, checkers, or any of the games you liked when you were younger.
- Study the Bible together! Check with your church to see if they're doing at-home Bible studies or lesson plans for families. Also, try to create your own Bible study. There are plenty of plans available, see if you can customize one to fit your family!
We pray blessings over you and your families!
