Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our Sweet Sixteen last week! It was unbeelievably fun to see you all! Check out photos from the celebration here [[link removed]] .
There is so much to do this month! Not only are we are hosting THREE events next week, but local primary elections are kicking off and our endorsements committee is hard at work.

Each month, GGWash picks a local business to host our rotating monthly meet-ups. In May we are headed to Maketto on H St for some community-building on Capitol Hill. Families are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Join us to connect with other folks who think that cities should be for people, not for cars, and who want to see more housing, more affordable housing, and the land-use regulations necessary to support the above—plus, hear what GGWash is working on, and what you can do to get involved.

March with Greater Greater Washington (GGWash) and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) in the 2024 Capital Pride Parade during the afternoon of Saturday, June 8! We'll celebrate the many contributions queer people have made to equitable urbanism in our region. Alexandria voters will head to the polls this spring to select their Democratic nominees for Mayor and City Council who, barring any Republican or independents jumping in, are the likely winners of the general election this November. For mayor, GGWash endorses Alyia Gaskins.

Early voting is underway in Arlington for the Democratic primary, during which voters will select the party’s nominee for County Board. In this blue county, this primary will likely decide the general election this November. This is the county’s second Ranked Choice Voting election, meaning you’ll be able to choose two candidates, ranked in order of preference. GGWash endorses Julius “JD” Spain Sr. and Tenley Peterson, in that order.
