The Biden Administration continues to seek underhanded methods of advancing its anti-gun agenda. This over-regulation unnecessarily harms American businesses and the employees they support by limiting firearms available to consumers.
That’s why I’ve joined with my fellow Idaho GOP Senator Jim Risch and Tennessee’s Senator Bill Hagerty to announce plans to file a Congressional Review Act (CRA) Resolution of Disapproval to block the Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) interim final rule which undermines Americans’ Second Amendment rights.
In this latest example of the Biden Democrats’ hostility toward America’s firearms industry, the denial of sales to overseas markets will cost U.S.
manufacturers millions while undermining American businesses and jobs.
Additionally, denying foreign customers products from American suppliers only encourages “less scrupulous, professional, or conscientious sources of supply to fill the void, thereby strengthening illicit arms markets…”
Friend, I’m proud to stand with my fellow GOP Senators to demand answers from the Biden Administration, but we need your help, too!
Of course, we can’t expect Senate Democrats to drop their resistance to a healthy American firearms industry or responsible sales to foreign customers -- showing once again just how important it is that we defeat them and capture a new Republican Majority in the rapidly approaching 2024 Elections.
That means not only beating vulnerable Democrats -- but holding the line in Republican races, too.
