The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating for Nevada’s hospitality workers. Business closures and layoffs have left so many wondering how they will pay for food, rent, utilities and other essentials without the wages they are losing with each passing day.

That’s why UNITE HERE, a union representing hundreds of thousands of hospitality, food service, and transportation workers in Nevada and across the country, started the UNITE HERE Education and Support Fund to help families experiencing hardship during this tumultuous time.

My campaign is matching all contributions made to support UNITE HERE workers and their families up to $5,000. Can you chip in $5 or whatever you can afford right now to meet our goal? All contributions will go directly to the UNITE HERE Education and Support Fund.

The hospitality industry employs hundreds of thousands of Nevadans who are struggling right now. I’ve been fighting as hard as I can to secure federal relief for these workers and families and I’m proud of the progress we’ve made. But there is absolutely more we can and must do.
