The Power of Partnerships: Disabled Seniors Avoid Homelessness


Alex, a senior living with a disability, was facing imminent eviction from his home. A notice from the sheriff had been posted on Alex’s door: next week he and his wife would be forced to leave. He had missed a deadline in his eviction process and was struggling to follow up with the court. Alex lives with severe disabilities while also caring for his disabled wife.

Supporting Economic Stability for Tenants


When Sarah and Michael moved into their Sunnyvale condo, they paid their landlord a $3,200 security deposit. To their surprise, the landlord made unfair deductions from their security deposit and returned less than $1,000. Sarah and Michael quickly reached out to the Law Foundation for help. They received an experienced pro bono attorney with expertise in renters' rights to represent their case.
