Dear Friend,
On March 27, the House passed and the president signed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act -- a sweeping, $2.2 trillion package to support our nationwide fight against COVID-19.
From bolstering our health care system to strengthening unemployment benefits, and investing in forgivable loans for small businesses to putting cash directly into Americans' pockets, this relief bill addresses the widespread health and economic impact of COVID-19 head-on.
Although further action from Congress will be needed in the coming weeks, the calls and notes coming into my office tell me that many northeastern Pennsylvanians have questions about what the work Congress has already done means for you.
On Tuesday, April 14, at 5:30 p.m., I invite you to join me at my second live telephone town hall to discuss the coronavirus outbreak. I'll be joined by leading medical and economic experts from our area and together, we'll take your questions about ways to keep you and your family safe, and the resources now available to you and your family.
If you would like to join me, click here or below to receive a call.
