Did you hear? The South Shore Line Double Track Project is 100% complete. 🚃

From South Bend to Chicago and beyond, Northwest Indiana is better connected than ever. With 18 new miles of track, 14 additional weekday trains, 1,400 new parking spaces, and numerous other infrastructure upgrades, the South Shore Line is safer, faster, and more convenient for Hoosiers.

And John, the whole project was on time and under budget — now that’s what we call Next Level!

This is one of the largest investments in public transit in Indiana history — and it’s worth it.

Between this project and the West Lake Expansion, we’re anticipating $2.7 billion in new private investment in Northwest Indiana, resulting in more than 6,000 new jobs and $5 billion in economic impact by 2048.
