Donald Trump was on KSTP last night ahead of his appearance at the MN GOP’s biggest fundraising event of the year, doubling down on his outrageous lie about winning Minnesota in 2020 (he lost by 7 points!) and bragging about how he's in a better position than any Republican in decades to flip us red in November.

I hate to admit it, but he’s right about the second part. Six consecutive polls show that Trump is already tied with President Biden in Minnesota, and his pivot to ramp up his attacks here has only just begun.

It’s our job at the DFL to keep Minnesota blue. But with the amount of money Trump is going to raise for Minnesota Republicans tomorrow night so they can broadcast his lies and vicious attacks across our state, it’s not going to be easy.

Here’s the blunt truth: We will not win in November unless every single DFLer is ready to help us hold the line. That’s why I’m checking in to let you know that we’re still just over halfway to our 2,000 individual contributions goal and running out of time to close the gap.

John, everyone will be watching to see how we respond tomorrow night. It’s absolutely essential that we make up the difference and prove that Minnesotans stand ready to keep Minnesota blue in November no matter what Trump throws at us.
