We just wrapped up our Membership Week and we want to say thank you to all of our new members and those who made the switch to our new system!

Now we’re focusing on our next big event, NLAS D.C. and CNL Steering Committee elections!

The filing period for the 2024 Center for New Liberalism Steering Committee elections is now open for eligible CNL chapter leads and dues-paying members. 

The Center for New Liberalism’s Steering Committee aims to represent the Center for New Liberalism’s chapters and members in CNL’s strategic planning, provide a voice and forum for the direction of organization-wide initiatives, and advise on our mission to promote liberal ideas in the United States and worldwide. The CNL Steering Committee is composed of nine voting members, including seven domestic members, and two international members. 

In order to be a candidate and to vote in the steering committee elections, you must be a chapter lead or dues-paying member - but if you aren’t a member, and believe you have a good vision for the future of our center-left, grassroots organization, we encourage you to become a member today, and consider declaring your candidacy. 

This year’s elections will take place both online from June 7-14, and in-person at the New Liberal Action Summit in Washington, D.C. on June 15. Our annual gathering serves to convene liberal champions in Congress and other elected offices, thought leaders working on growth agendas, and set the course for CNL for the year with the Steering Committee election as well as various organizer trainings.
