Like I told the crowd, the race for Attorney General shouldn't be about party or dividing Missourians against each other. It should be about hiring the person who will do the best job for us, who will represent our families, and who isn't compromised by big corporations and big donors looking to make even more money off the rest of us.
Unlike our Attorney General, I stayed for quite some time talking to folks in the crowd. One woman said, "You're the most sane Democrat I've ever met." I told her she should come hang out with a few more of us. We received invitations to meetings in southwest Missouri with folks who don't typically vote Democrat.
This is the type of outreach we've been working so hard on, and it's working. Thank you for investing in our campaign. It's because of you this event even happened, and it's why we're able to bring these town halls to everyone who wants to watch. If it was up to our Attorney General, none of this would have been recorded.
