2. Join the American Red Cross LinkedIn Live Event: Replace Panic with a Plan

The American Red Cross is going live this STOP THE BLEED® Day Thursday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m. EST with with TacMed Solutions™ experts, Dan Stout and Dr. Dan Irizarry. Hear from these experts on the topic of life-threatening bleeding. You can view it anytime by going to the Training Services 

LinkedIn page on or after May 23.

3. Become a Licensed STOP THE BLEED® Instructor!

4. If you are a high school student in the United States, we have two STOP THE BLEED® Scholarships

that you can apply for.

You could win up to $1000 for Secondary Education!

How can STOP THE BLEED® build community?

In order to apply, a student must name a STOP THE BLEED® instructor sponsor, licensed by the Stop the Bleed Coalition, or someone who has made an application to become licensed and is eligible to be approved.


To apply, write an essay or make a short video that tells the story of the work your STOP THE BLEED® instructor sponsor is doing and the impact they are making in their community.

If you are a Licensed Instructor, you can sponsor a high school student in your community through our Instructor Impact Scholarship, and win free training equipment!

5. Apply for a STOP THE BLEED® Grant!

Your organization could win FREE training equipment!

In order to be eligible for a grant, your organization must have

6. Become a STOP THE BLEED® Ambassador!

Are you passionate about STOP THE BLEED®? Help us to engage your community about the importance of learning about how to save the life of someone who is traumatically bleeding by becoming a STOP THE BLEED® Ambassador.

7. Prepare an Emergency Kit!

Stock up on essential first aid supplies, including tourniquets, pressure dressings, and hemostatic agents. Keep a kit in your car, at home, and at work so you're always ready to respond to a bleeding emergency.

Connect with the Stop the Bleed Coalition

The Coalition is a community of individuals and organizations who are passionate about the STOP THE BLEED® campaign. The Coalition’s goal is to support the growth and impact of the campaign by providing access to information and services to the growing STOP THE BLEED® community as well as financial support to the STOP THE BLEED® Project.

STOP THE BLEED® is a national campaign to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. It is a public/private partnership led by the Department of Defense and many other stakeholders, including the Stop the Bleed Coalition.
