Friend of Trust for Public Land,

Your news feed is likely littered with stories about social division
and polarization. It's true, Americans report high levels of
disconnection from their neighbors. But it doesn't have to be that
way. Several cities are using their parks and public places to build
bridges and heal divides. We'll dive deep into this emerging
trend when we release our 2024 ParkScore Index next week.

Sign Now: Save America's Wildlife

A third of the wildlife species in America are at risk of becoming
threatened or endangered. In honor of Endangered Species Day tomorrow,
send a message to your senators to cosponsor the Recovering America's
Wildlife Act. With your help, this legislation will provide dedicated
funding for more than 12,000 species at risk, create jobs, grow the
outdoor economy, and increase access to the outdoors.

For nearly 1,000 years, the Ocmulgee Mounds were central to the
life of the Muscogee Nation, until the Muscogee people were forcibly
removed in the 1830s. It's time to bestow this place with the
highest honor: urge your legislators to designate Ocmulgee Mounds as
Georgia's first national park!

Restoring 'A'ala Through Community Hands

Last month, TPL Hawai'i hosted "A Day on the Land,"
a community impact day at 'A'ala Park, where over 75
volunteers from across O?ahu came together to remove trash, scrub
graffiti, touch up murals, and plant native trees. It was a day of
hard work, laughter, and a lot of aloha for ?A?ala and the

We launched a mentored hunting program in Minnesota, pairing
experienced hunters with a diverse group of newcomers. By breaking
down barriers to the sport, we can create a welcoming and accessible
environment that's inclusive and represents more
Minnesotans.

Cleaning Up the QueensWay

On Earth Day, TPL, Friends of the QueensWay, and NYC Parks teamed up
