John,

This young Christian was just 16 years old when he was falsely accused of and arrested for blasphemy.

Now he will hang for his Christian faith unless we can get his death sentence overturned. TODAY marks 2,500 days of imprisonment for his faith. We're taking urgent action at the U.N. to defend him.

Shahzad was sentenced to death by hanging after a radical Muslim group manufactured the charges against him and pressured the judge into having him executed.

But Shahzad is not alone. Christians in Pakistan face unthinkable atrocities for their faith, and the judicial system often ignores the facts and the law and caves to angry Muslim mobs.

Our legal team on the ground in Pakistan recently filed an emergency motion to expedite his case, and his appeal hearing could be any day. Now, in just days, we are filing a vital written submission to the U.N. Human Rights Council, and our team is preparing to travel to Geneva to present an oral intervention on his behalf.

Shahzad is suffering from the ultimate human rights violation, and we will take his case all the way to Pakistan's Supreme Court – where we have successfully helped free Christians on death row before. But we urgently need you to take action with us before it is too late for Shahzad.
