Early Ford V8 Club Auto Swap Meet; A tradition for the Sky Valley.
This weekend we welcome back the annual Early Ford V8 Club Auto Swap Meet, May 18-19. The Auto Swap Meet is a long-time tradition of the Evergreen State Fair Park and the Sky Valley. The first swap meet was held in Seattle in 1973 and was called the Seattle Auto Swap Meet. Over time the swap meet grew in size and moved to the fairgrounds in Monroe. In 2019 the name changed to the Monroe Auto Swap Meet. The local club that hosts this event is part of the Puget Sound Regional group #18 of the Early Ford V8 Club of America and was founded in 1969 in Seattle.
The Early Ford V8 Club of America [ [link removed] ] was founded in San Leandro, California in1963 and is currently a world-wide organization. The club is dedicated to preserve and authentically maintain vehicles manufactured by the Ford Motor Company model years 1932 to 1953 (the years of the flathead V8 production).?

While the Early Ford V8 Club is the host of the swap meet it takes at least three other auto clubs to put on an event of this size. Vendor booths that hold countless treasures for car enthusiasts fill the majority of the fairgrounds. Guest will find things like old cars and parts, tools, wheels, tires, auto literature, porcelain signs, toys, gas and oil petrolinia and so much more.? This event is not just for those trying to find hard to find car parts; it is also for treasure hunters. As their website says, ?There?s always something that you?ll never expect to find.? The Monroe Swap Meet is the largest and most popular swap meet in the state.
