Since we heard Donald Trump was coming to Minnesota on Friday to headline the MN GOP’s biggest fundraising event of the year, my campaign team has been working nonstop to prepare to help counter the lies, hate, and misinformation he’ll be bringing to our state.
Trump’s campaign stop on Friday proves he sees an opportunity in Minnesota to secure his re-election. He knows we are a must-win state if Democrats are going to hold onto the White House, and six straight polls here have shown him running in a dead heat with President Biden.
Trump is making his move, and there’s no amount of money he and his MAGA Republican allies won’t spend to flip us red. Not to mention GOP candidates up and down the ballot will be echoing his hateful rhetoric in the hopes that a Trump victory will also put an end to our DFL majorities.
We cannot let them succeed. It’s not enough to be upset that Trump is coming back to Minnesota. We must put in the work in every corner of the state all the way through Election Day. So, it’s critical that we keep our budget on track.
John, that’s why I’m reaching out personally tonight. I just checked in with my campaign fundraising team, and we still need to raise more than $10,000 to reach our goal by Trump’s visit on Friday.
