Despite a clear 2022 court ruling mandating that public tax dollars must be invested in public schools, the GOP is shamelessly attempting to undermine this decision. Their proposed constitutional amendment would siphon taxpayer dollars away from our already underfunded public schools and funnel them into unregulated private institutions.
This is an outrage. While our public schools don’t have the funding to provide resources and fair wages to our hardworking educators, the GOP is prioritizing the interests of private schools that cater only to a select few. Our children deserve better. Our educators deserve better.
We cannot allow the GOP to get away with this blatant attempt to dismantle our public education system. It's up to us to take action and ensure that every child has access to a quality education, regardless of their background or zip code.
