Hey, this is a longer email about the stakes of this race and why it’s so, so important that we all stay engaged despite how frustrating politics feels today.
If you don’t need any extra motivation, and you’re already all-in on the fight to retake the House this November, I’d be really grateful if you could donate before our mid-May deadline at midnight.

But if that’s just not where you are right now, I respect that. And I hope you’ll keep reading.
One of the things I really want you to know is that despite the chaos of D.C. right now, I’m focused on delivering results. I’m proud to have delivered important support for our CO-07 communities, including nearly $14 million to expand access to clean water, affordable housing, and services that are critical to families’ quality of life.
You may not see it on cable news, and it may not trend on Twitter, but I promise you, I will keep fighting for Colorado families every way I can, for as long as I have the honor of serving.
I also want you to know that we have an incredible shot at delivering lasting, nationwide change if we win this next election. We’re just four seats away from flipping the House blue — which means we are four seats from having the votes to reinstate abortion rights nationwide, protect LGBTQ+ rights, and fight off MAGA attacks on our democracy.
And I’m not just in this fight to defeat right-wing extremists (though that is, obviously, very important). I’m here to build an economy that works for regular families. I overcame a ton of adversity to get where I am today. It took a lot of hard work, but I had the opportunity to build a better life for myself.
Today, I feel like those opportunities have been cut in half. Regular families are being overlooked, and I’m determined to fix it — by making childcare, housing, and education more affordable; ensuring more people have a secure and dignified retirement; and reversing Republican tax policies that have benefited the wealthiest at everyone else’s expense.
Finally, there’s the cold, hard math of our situation. Our fundraising in May has been slow, and if this trend continues, it will leave us without the ability to fight back against the deep-pocketed MAGA super PACs that we know will say anything, no matter how vicious or misleading, to flip this seat red.
Every single donation we receive before tonight’s deadline will make a real difference in our ability to win this race. There’s so much on the line, and so much we can get done together if we’re successful this November. If you’re with me, I am humbly asking for whatever support you can provide →

Thank you for staying in the fight — even when you’re frustrated, or angry, or deflated. I don’t ever take your support for granted, and I’m truly grateful to have you as part of this team.
Sincerely,
Brittany
