I’m reaching out personally about one of the most important issues on the line this November: reproductive freedom. To put it simply, reproductive rights like abortion are under attack from all directions – and the DGA and I need your help to fight back.

I’ll explain more below about what’s at stake this November and beyond, but if you already understand the urgency, please chip in $3 to the DGA’s mid-month goal. All gifts will be matched up to their $50,000 goal – but only until midnight tonight.

I’m concerned about the future of reproductive rights, and you should be too: Donald Trump and his extremist allies are marching full steam ahead to recapture the presidency and impose their radical, far-right agenda – from criminalizing women seeking health care to monitoring private medical records and even restricting the travel of pregnant women.

Saying that it’s important to send President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris back to the White House is the understatement of the century. They’ve proven time and time again that they’ll fight like hell to protect our reproductive rights.

But what’s equally important, team, is electing Democratic governors who will act as their partners in the states and be the last line of defense against attacks on our most fundamental rights and freedoms.

While Republican governors, conservative-majority legislatures, and other MAGA politicians like Donald Trump are working to ban abortion, Democratic governors like myself are actively protecting reproductive rights in their states. We’re signing legislation to codify abortion rights into state law, stockpiling abortion medication in the midst of Republican threats, and taking executive action to protect reproductive health and veto dangerous abortion bans.

To put it simply, the stakes of this election are extraordinarily high and we just can’t afford to lose our momentum now. But I’m worried that we’re going to fall short of this essential goal. That’s why I’m personally asking you: will you make a grassroots donation to the DGA before their mid-month deadline tomorrow, so we can stand up for fundamental rights like abortion and defend our blue firewall in November and beyond? All donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to the DGA’s $50,000 goal.
