If this is what Rep. Bergman calls the “radical left agenda," God help us. |
My opponent has been laughably referring to my platform as the "radical left agenda." But let me ask you this: is it radical to save $685 billion annually and invest in our communities' well-being? |
If elected, I will be joining Democrats who want to prioritize universal healthcare, public education, childcare, housing and economic opportunities.
We can make a significant difference in the lives of our fellow citizens, but I need your help getting to Congress so we can truly and finally lead. |
Friend, Here are some key areas where we can save and redirect funds: -
Allowing the IRS to collect unpaid taxes from the ultrawealthy could save us $85 billion annually.
- Capping the defense profit margin at 15% instead of 40% could save us $100 billion.
- Implementing a single-payer universal medical care system could save us $500 billion.
With these savings, we can invest in the following areas each year: - Adding Dental, Vision, and Hearing Benefits: $40 billion
- Providing Universal Pre-K and Kindergarten: $35 billion
-
Offering two years of postsecondary training/education: $100 billion
- Subsidizing childcare: $69 billion
- Reducing prescription drug costs: $31 billion
- Implementing paid family and medical leave: $71 billion
-
Reducing the federal debt: $339 billion
It can be done. It requires political will and a fighter in Congress. Where there are leaders and the power of people, there are possibilities. I would be honored to join the Michigan Democratic coalition to fight for our shared, collective values.
Friends, if you believe in the possibilities like I do, if you believe we can create a better future, and you believe in this cause, please consider making a donation to my campaign today to help us reach our fundraising goals.
I need you. Onward! -Bob Bob Lorinser Candidate for US Congress
