John,
We have so much at stake this November and the elections will make a huge impact in deciding the future of our social programs, economy, and communities. Elections at every level will determine whether to invest in education, housing, health care, nutrition, and many other critically needed programs, and whether the right to vote will be protected.
We all need to work together to make sure that voters, especially those with low incomes and people of color, are able to get to the polls and make their voices heard. And we have some exciting opportunities for you to join in the fight.
Join the Coalition on Human Needs and our friends at Vote Forward on Thursday, May 30th for our first virtual letter writing event of the 2024 election. We’ll be writing to infrequent voters in critical states, reminding them of the importance of voting for human needs on or before Election Day this November, and we’ll provide them with the information they need to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

Vote Forward has a proven track record of increasing voter registration and turnout.1 They’ve shown repeatedly that letters that volunteers like you write really work, which is why we’re again sending letters to infrequent voters in the critical states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
In 2023, 14 states enacted 17 voter suppression laws to make it much more difficult to register and to vote.2 We know these bills disproportionately impact the most vulnerable communities—communities of color, low-income communities, LGBTQ+ communities, and rural communities.
We can’t allow the extremists to win. We must do all we can to ensure that every eligible voter has the information and resources they need to make their voices heard at the ballot box in November. Our democracy depends on it.
Join us on Thursday, May 30th to write letters to voters in key battleground states.
Thank you for all you do,
Dominique Espinoza Policy and Strategic Partnerships Manager, Coalition on Human Needs
