A Vacation Made for Hockey Fans at the 2024 Memorial Cup
Experience an event rarely hosted outside of Canada, and never before in Michigan, that will be filled with young talent that are headed to the NHL. The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) is comprised of three leagues whose winners compete for the National Championship of Junior Hockey, the coveted Memorial Cup.
Come witness the action as The Saginaw Spirit host the 2024 Memorial Cup presented by Dow (May 23 ? June 2, 2024) with a campus full of festivities all week long, including the UA Local 85 Fan Fest. Daily live entertainment, food trucks, a speaker series and the Hockey Hall of Fame exhibits combine with interactive hockey games, STEM and history activities to create fun for the whole family. A visit to this event will be fun, even without tickets to the games.
World class hockey pairs with world class destinations as Saginaw unites with Frankenmuth to help make this sports vacation experience one to remember. Restaurants are prepared to help hockey fans recharge and taste the flavors of the region with extended hours that have been adjusted for game times. When you?re not at the arena, Frankenmuth?s shops and walkable downtown will fill your trip with memorable moments. The Memorial Weekend events of Dog Bowl and Balloons Over Bavarian Inn add even more family fun to the opening weekend of the tournament, but the second weekend brings a special, one-day event called ?Christmas with the Cup? that will showcase two of Frankenmuth?s most well-known features: festivals and Christmas.
