Community solar is on the brink of becoming a reality in Ohio,
making it the perfect time to become well-informed about its
benefits.
On Wednesday, April 24, the Ohio House Public Utilities
Committee met to discuss the community solar bill, HB 197. Bill
supporters packed the room to show the committee members that Ohioans
are ready to pass the Community Solar Pilor Program. More than
117 witnesses submitted testimony in support of the bill. No
opposition witnesses bothered to show up in-person for the opposition
hearing on May 8th.

Your
voice matters in the conversation about community solar
If you can't make it to the luncheon, you can still play a
crucial role in advancing community solar in Ohio. House Bill 197,
which proposes a pilot program for community solar, is currently under
review. This bill enjoys bipartisan support and could
significantly enhance access to solar energy for those who cannot
install their own panels.
We encourage you to reach out to your State
Representative to express your support for HB 197. Feel
free to send the letter provided or personalize it to make a stronger
impact.
Together, we can make community solar a reality in
Ohio.
