 Today, men and women across America are taking time to remember those who put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe.
This is Peace Officers Memorial Day, which has been celebrated annually for 43 years, honoring those officers who have fallen or have been injured in the line of duty. Honor guard teams take shifts, standing watch over the memorials for our fallen officers. It is truly a moving event.
Please join me in remembering our fallen officers, as well as thanking the men and women who wear the badge every day and put themselves in harm’s way in order to protect all of us.
