You’ll hear more about our plan for the year ahead and beyond over the next few weeks, but here are a few things to know. In 2022, members, staff, and our board met and re-committed our organization to base building, recognizing that relationships are the source of our power. Together, we are building:

strong teams of leaders launching campaigns statewide, including Minnesota United Parents (MN UP), Duluth Tenants Union, Twin Cities United Performers (TCUP), and high school student organizers;

a bloc of 30,000 progressive voters ready to cast our ballots together in primary and general elections; and

a community of members like you who act and give collectively towards our north star: delivering on the unfulfilled promise of American democracy, where our government is shaped by us and our economy works for all of us.

There’s a Mariame Kaba quote we repeat often here at TakeAction, and it’s been on my mind even more as the 2024 election approaches: “hope is a discipline.” For me, the hope and discipline it takes to organize comes from my community. I want you to be a part of it! Now, more than ever, we all need community.
