What exactly does the California Environmental Voters Education Fund do, friend? Funny you should ask.

The EnviroVoters Ed Fund aims to radically advance climate policy by promoting civic participation, shifting public opinion, and educating the public and policymakers. We focus on building power in communities in California that are experiencing the brunt of climate impacts.

When California makes progress on climate, these policies often extend to other states, the federal level, and even the world. For instance, some of the nation’s largest manufacturers of heavy trucks and engines agreed to abide by California’s ban on selling new diesel heavy-duty trucks, and other countries are looking at replicating EnviroVoters’ sponsored bill in 2023, SB 253.

But it all starts with our work with local communities here, and grassroots supporters like you who allow us to do this critical work.

Friend, will you support our mission with a tax-deductible gift today?

Every dollar you contribute goes a long way toward protecting our environment and advancing climate justice — our organization has a proven track record of success.

Here are some of our programs and efforts that are delivering big-time results:

Ambassadors: This program to cultivate and empower young leaders in the Central Valley and Inland Empire developed a campaign that built power for water equity and clean air and mobilized hundreds of volunteers to ensure youth voices are heard in local government.

Leading Internationally: The Ed Fund hosted California’s delegation at the United Nations’ Conference of the Parties (COP) last December, bringing 13 state leaders to hold events to export our progress, learn from other countries, and make ongoing connections with climate leaders around the world.

Connecting Communities to Climate Funding: We hold accelerator events in key regions to connect local governments and community-based organizations with the technical assistance they need to competitively apply for new state and federal funding opportunities from the Inflation Reduction Act and state climate budget investments.

Green California: The Ed Fund facilitates this network of 130 organizations that fights for environmental justice and public health.

Education: We bring climate policy education to the public, especially impacted communities, like our redistricting work in 2021 creating districts where historically disenfranchised communities of color are now able to elect candidates of their choice.

We are humbled to be viewed as an essential thought partner and leader throughout the state, especially in battleground regions.

Please make a tax-deductible gift today to help us continue our work to create a greener California and a greener planet >> [link removed]

Thank you so much for your support. It means the world to us.
